PROJECT AREA: Miami-Dade
STATUS: Ongoing
TIMELINE: March 2020 - present
WEBSITE: axishelps.org

Project Brief

Created in partnership with Microsoft Philanthropies and the Citi Foundation as an initial response to the economic crisis unleashed by the pandemic, Axis Helps South Florida has evolved into a critical resource that connects the individuals and small business owners to the support they need to survive, recover and grow into the future.

Axis Helps was rapidly developed in March of 2020 and publicly launched at the beginning of April 2020. Since then, the platform has:

  • Logged 200,000 page views;

  • Helped over 40,000 users;

  • As the primary partner for Miami-Dade’s RISE fund, facilitated more than $14 million in loans to small businesses;

  • Developed a growing coalition of existing, vetted small business support organizations, including community-based lenders (CDFIs).
